Over 30 women and youth leaders from across Ghana gathered at the Grand Star Hotel in Accra from 6th to 7th October 2025 for the Women in Renewable Energy Workshop, organized by 350 Ghana Reducing Our Carbon (350 G-ROC) under the theme “Raising Voices for the Impact of Renewable Energy in Communities.”

A coalition of NGOs, civil society groups, and youth organizations under the Renewable Energy for Communities Coalition (RE4CC) — led by 350 Ghana Reducing Our Carbon (350 G-ROC) — has called on the Government of Ghana to prioritize renewable energy in the country’s national energy policy.

350 Ghana, has been presented with a Certificate of Participation at the prestigious Energy Globe 2024 awards. This recognition is in acknowledgment of their outstanding project titled “Renewable Energy for Communities,” which was submitted as part of the global competition focused on sustainable solutions.

Ghana is embracing a renewable energy revolution that is poised to transform the nation’s energy landscape. With a resolute commitment to achieving 10% renewable energy in its power generation mix, Ghana is charting a course toward a sustainable and prosperous future.
