350 Ghana Holds Women in Renewable Energy Campaign at Apam

The Women in Renewable Energy campaign took off in Ghana from Apam in the Central Region of Ghana.

The 350 Ghana team interacted with women who ply their trade at night and need a source of electricity. Many of the women had resulted to the use of ‘bobo’, an improvised lantern that makes use of kerosene to light up. It emits thick smoke which the women admitted was harmful to their health. After empowering them on the need for renewable energy, these women benefitted from the free solar bulbs donated by the 350 Team.

This video summarises our work at Apam.
